Victoria Wing

The wing is a private ward at the PEH. They see a range of patients, so cater for all diagnoses. They also help support the hospital when there is overflow. 
The ward was nominated by Samantha Bull. Miss Bull was first admitted to the ward in September for pain relief while waiting to undergo surgery. Since then, every month she has had to spend several days there until they managed to move her surgery forward to February, which Miss Bull praised the team for helping with. 
‘It’s a very happy ward to be in, you can hear laughter throughout,’ Miss Bull said. ‘They go above and beyond, there was a time where I couldn’t get out of bed and they went to the canteen and shop for me.' 
Miss Bull also praised the staff for their 24/7 support and cheery, chatty and smiley nature.
‘We are a good team and work together well, recognising each other’s skills,’ said ward manager Jane Baker. 
‘We advocate for our patients, taking their thoughts and wishes into consideration and working to improve. It’s an honour for the nurses to be recognised.'
