Sustainable Business Conference team

The conference first took place last year in both Guernsey and Jersey, and this year is being repeated. 
It aims to empower businesses to lead in sustainability and brings together local organisations and global experts, through a combination of talks, workshops and networking.
‘The feedback from last year was incredible, 80-90% said the conference was excellent,’ said Sally Rochester, the Guernsey Conference host.
‘We don’t often get to hear from speakers like that on the island, and hopefully businesses go back and make changes.' 
Last year the conference had 130 attendees in each island, and this year the same numbers are expected. 
The conference team were praised by their nominator for bringing an awareness of sustainability to the island, in a time of relevance. 
‘I think it’s really brought sustainability back on to the corporate agenda,' said the nominator, who wished to remain anonymous. 
'That's important at a time when the US has pulled out of the Paris Agreement.'
