Stuart Lean

Mr Lean founded Just Games 12 years ago with a small inheritance from his grandmother, allowing him to realise his dream of providing not only a gaming store but a community hub. 
His nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous, credits Mr Lean with creating a friendly and accommodating environment within the store. 
Mr Lean has always been drawn to the social aspect of gaming. After saving up for his first TV, gaming was an opportunity to bond and spend time with his friends. And that has continued in his career in retail.
‘It’s all about the people you meet,’ he said. ‘The best part of the job is the people. Every day there’s a new conversation.’ 
Just Games is ‘a community as much as it is a shop,’ he added.
Mr Lean hosts frequent gaming nights, with miniature painting sessions and table top role-playing games. It is a relaxed space for all ages to hang out and play a variety of games. 
The nominator says that Mr Lean goes out of his way to help others and exhausts all options to find exactly what the customer needs. 
He thanked his staff and the Just Games community for helping him create the right ethos for the shop. ‘We’re all just part of the fabric.’
