Steven Hainsworth

He is a general assistant at Le Friquet Garden Centre and has been working there for three years. 
‘My favourite part of the job is serving customers and learning about them – it’s enjoyable,’ he said.
‘I try to read the customer, and if they are in a rush I let them go, but if they are chatty I have a joke with them and try make them feel comfortable. 
‘If it is an elderly customer I pretend they are young, they appreciate that.’
Having worked in customer service since 2006, Mr Hainsworth said he was ‘speechless and absolutely blown away’ by his nomination. He was nominated by Andrea and Emily Tostevin, who have known him for 16 years.
‘Emily and I both go to Le Friquet about once a month, he’s so polite and pleasant to deal with and very helpful,’ said Mrs Tostevin. 'He is very friendly and very efficient.
‘We hope the Friquet know how lucky they are to have such a hardworking, kind and caring member of staff.’
