Silvia Soares

Miss Soares is currently a health care assistant at Green Oaks Nursing Home. She has been working for CI Healthcare for nine years but has been at Green Oaks for five. She trains other staff members, helps with inductions and looks after the residents in the home. 
‘They are a part of my family,’ Miss Soares says. ‘My favourite part of the job are the people with dementia – they are challenging but amazing people.' 
Miss Soares’s nominator wishes to remain anonymous but describes her as ‘cheerful, remarkable and irreplaceable’.
‘She stands out as a person, she does way more than what you would expect in a care home,’ they said.
‘She makes herself seem more like a friend, a sister almost.
‘She does things for everyone, I’ve spoken to other people in the home, and they all have similar views.’
