Shona Linton (Dunn)
Shona Linton (Dunn) has been nominated for the Customer Service of the Year Award for her hard work and outstanding care for all her customers at the Guernsey Eyes optometry practice.
About
Mrs Linton has been a qualified optometrist since 1994 and opened the practice in 2021.
She has been described by her nominator and daughter Tara as a ‘kind, outgoing and welcoming,’ person.
Beyond her duties as an optometrist, Mrs Linton always ensures she goes the extra mile for her customers.
‘She doesn’t just do eye tests, she takes her time to really talk to people, explain things properly, and make sure people feel completely comfortable and looked after,’ said her nominator.
‘She never stops giving 100%.
'I know how much her customers mean to her.’
Mrs Linton was shocked and honoured to have been nominated for the award.
‘I am a little teary,’ she said. ‘It’s lovely to know my work is valued, this is why I am in the business, to help people.
‘Helping patients find frames and make them feel better about themselves,’ is what she described to be one of the most rewarding aspects of the job.
