Scott Le Page

Scott Le Page goes above and beyond to make La Mare De Carteret Primary School a warm, welcoming, and fun place, according to nominator Craig Munns. 
Mr Le Page has taught at La Mare since he first started teaching 12 years ago, recently taking up the mantle of KS2 teaching and learning leader alongside his usual role of science lead. 
‘He is the pinnacle of what a primary school teacher should be. He is loved by his students, their parents and colleagues alike,’ said Mr Munns. ‘Teaching is just his passion.’ 
Mr Munns said that Mr Le Page is the teacher all students go to when they need to talk or just fancy hanging out. ‘They all love him. He’s constantly enthusiastic, fun, and kind.’ 
Mr Le Page plays a game with his students called Mince or Mints, where they have to guess which of the two words he has just said. ‘It’s ridiculous but hilarious to play. It’s the little things he does that exemplify what he’s like as a teacher,’ said Mr Munns. 
‘It’s good fun spending all day with the kids. Every day is so different,’ said Mr Le Page. 
Mr Le Page thrives under the supportive community at La Mare. ‘It has the best teaching on the island. It’s such a family environment.’
