Sarah McCormack

Sarah McCormack has been nominated for Angel of the Year

About

Providing the best quality of support on a personal level is how Sarah McCormack was described in her nomination for the award.
‘This nomination has come completely out of the blue and was totally unexpected.
‘I work as part of a small but fantastic team of children’s community nurses, we support children who have health needs in the community.
‘They go through a lot, so we support them so that they can go out and do things that other children can already do.
The best parts of my job are working with my brilliant team and community colleagues and of course the close relationships that we develop with the families that we look after - they are amazing really.’
‘Sarah goes above and beyond,’ said nominator Vannessa Mitchell. ‘She makes a hard diagnosis as good as it can be.
‘We have been working with Sarah since our son was two years old. He’s now 13, and she’s always wanted the best for him.’
She added that when they moved to the Middle East for a couple of years, she would still call and check in on them.
‘Sarah is so caring and wants to ensure that all children have the support they need.’
