Roy Le Page

‘I would love my dad to receive this award, I tell him I love him every day but it never seems enough. 
‘I love him to bits — he’s special, one of a kind. 
‘He is everything a parent should be. He has been a mum and dad to me.’ 
Daughter Nicola Hall, his nominator, warmly recounted time spent as a child with her dad, Roy Le Page, on his boat. Despite letting go if it a few years ago, Mr Le Page and his daughter spent countless hours up and down the west coast fishing, and watching the sunset at Vazon bay. 
78-year-old Mr Le Page, avid bar billiards and euchre player, was shocked at receiving his nomination. 
Now, he loves to spend time with his wife and daughter, and cherishes time spent with his grandchildren too, saying how he especially enjoys family meals. 
‘They mean a lot to me,’ he said.
