Ross Limond has been nominated for Teacher of the Year
About
Beau Sejour Swim School teacher Ross Limond has been nominated for his commitment to helping swimmers of all ages and abilities develop confidence in the water.
Ross has been teaching swimming for seven years and works with children ranging from complete beginners to those progressing towards competitive swimming. He was nominated by Anthea Roue, who described him as 'a fantastic and adaptive swimming teacher'.
In her nomination, Mrs Roue praised Mr Limond's ability to tailor lessons to individual needs and build positive relationships with both swimmers and their families. She said he takes the time to understand each child and regularly checks in on their progress.
One of the aspects of teaching he enjoys most is the variety the role offers and the opportunity to support swimmers at different stages of their development.
'Seeing each swimmer develop confidence, learn new skills, and achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding.'
Mr Limond believes building strong relationships with swimmers and their families is an important part of helping children progress and enjoy their lessons.
'A highlight for me is seeing someone who didn't want to get into the pool during their early lessons excitedly receiving skill and distance swim awards later on.'
Alongside his work as a swimming teacherMr Limond also delivers Aqua Fit, Aqua Attack and Aqua HIIT classes for adults at Beau Sejour, helping people of all ages stay active and build confidence in the water.
