Rev. Linda Le Vasseur

The Rev. Linda Le Vasseur has been nominated for Angel of the Year.

About

Since 2016, Mrs Le Vasseur has been the lead chaplain at the hospital chapel, and has been a chaplain since 1998.
She does 25 hours a week as chaplain, alongside writing children’s books, assisting at St Saviour’s Church and leading the chaplaincy in Alderney.
‘She’s so polite, always has time for everyone,’ said her nominator, Bernie Coutu, who has known Mrs Le Vasseur for around seven years and previously raised money for the hospital chapel.
‘She deserves a medal. I’d give my last penny to her,’ she added.
Mrs Le Vasseur was ordained in 1995 and said she always had a feeling she ought to be in hospital service.
‘Chaplaincy is spiritual care – religious care is part of it but it’s about what’s important to them,’ she said.
'Chaplaincy is about walking the journey with someone and being there for anyone in need.
‘Everybody’s different, I’m still learning things and I still feel I’ve got more that I can do.
Miss Coutu praised Mrs Le Vasseur for always being there to help and listen, always leaving herself until last.
‘She always has time for other people, she’s a lovely lady.’
