Noah Van Der Linden

In the summer of 2022, at just 11 years old, Noah Van Der Linden was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. The next morning, he began three days of intensive treatment in Guernsey, which was to be followed by another six months of steroid therapy. 
Now 15, Noah continues to have constant medical treatment, but he has not let the disease get in the way of the things he loves. When asked what it was that got him through his most difficult times, he said three simple things – ‘football, friends and family.’ 
Rather than allowing his condition to define him, Noah puts much of his time and effort into football, where he is a valued player and coach at Northerners AC. 
According to his anonymous nominator, Noah has taken it all in his stride, taking every day as it comes, with great positive effect on those around him.
