Marilyne Le Page

A mother to three daughters, Marilyne Le Page is shocked to be nominated for the award.
‘That's lovely,' she said. 'Sometimes as a mum you feel underappreciated, so it’s really nice to receive recognition like this. 
‘My girls and my grandkids are what I live for. If they need anything, I’m there. 
‘They’re my life and I love doing what I can to help my girls out.’ 
After her middle child had a rare health condition when she was young, Mrs Le Page dedicated herself to supporting her. 
‘It took a lot of fighting,’ she said. 
Her daughter and nominator Carine Jennings said: ‘My mum deserves an award for being my greatest source of strength through one of the toughest years of my life. 
'When I became homeless, she gave up her own bed and slept on the sofa so that me and the children had somewhere safe to sleep.
‘We love charity shopping together and we love a good Disneyland trip.
‘She’s caring. She’s always happy. She likes to think that she’s funny, but she’s not. She’s willing to go above and beyond for family, kids, friends – everyone. I will never be able to thank her enough for everything she has done, and I truly believe she deserves the world.’
