Lisa Pearce has been nominated for Parent of the Year
About
‘I shall share this honour with my family,’ said a mother nominated by her son for Parent of the Year.
Lisa Pearce said she did not expect to be nominated, saying that parenting has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.
‘There are so many memories that I cherish. Whether it was their first day at school, learning a new skill, or accomplishing something they had worked hard for,’ she said.
‘It’s the little moments – family holidays, bedtime stories, shared laughter around the dinner table, and seeing them comfort and support one another.’
The inevitable challenges make these rewarding moments even more meaningful, she said.
‘I wouldn’t change the journey for anything.’
Her son Brad Reynolds nominated her for qualities including resilience and being hard-working. ‘She just keeps going,’ he said.
His favourite moments of them together include going to the beach, and just being around each other generally.
‘What I enjoy most is watching my children grow into kind, confident, and caring individuals,’ Ms Pearce said.
‘I enjoy being part of their journey, celebrating their achievements, and supporting them through challenges.’
