Les Adams Farm

‘What makes this farm so compelling is that the farm doesn’t just preserve Guernsey’s heritage – it shares it, celebrates it, and invites the community to be part of it,’ said its nominator. 
‘As part of the States of Guernsey Cultural Enrichment Programme, the farm has welcomed more than 350 reception-age children from all States primary schools over the past academic year. For many, it was their first opportunity to experience a working farm and connect with the island’s countryside,’ said its nominator. 
Isabelle Edward from the farm said: ‘We have been transforming the farm over five years and started growing more of our own food and hoping to inspire people to do the same.
‘If we do something right with nature then it will recover back quickly.’ 
Les Adams Farm has hosted more than 15 reception classes to show children where food comes from and give them the chance to meet farm animals. 
‘There is a lot more we would like to do, we’re just at the start of the journey,’ said Ms Edward.
