Mr Castro has been the restaurant manager of Balthazar for just more than a year.
His ‘natural, engaging and attentive’ hospitality approach has been commended by his nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous.
‘He consistently approaches each interaction with friendliness and a warm smile, making customers feel valued and appreciated.’
In response to his nomination, Mr Castro said: ‘I’ve got goosebumps. I never expected to receive this.
'This is a big achievement for me.
‘We always like to go the extra mile with our customers, especially celebrations. It’s a pleasure to make them feel special.’
Upon hearing that his nominator was planning a visit to the restaurant for their birthday, Mr Castro prepared a cake and candles and even sang for the table.
‘It was the most wonderful experience. The connections he builds with his customers is truly amazing.
‘The food and drinks at Balthazar become even better with great hospitality, which Kevin always delivers,’ they said.
‘His dedication to providing outstanding service truly sets him apart.’
