‘Every weekend he is helping every charity he can. So far this year he has helped around 56,’ said his nominator. 
‘He just rings up and offers his time to whoever needs it.’ 
Karl has been working with charities for the past 20 years and been involved with around 62. ‘I could sit at home and do nothing or I can get out there and make a difference,’ he said. 
‘I have done about everything possible with Guernsey charities. Without them, I do not think Guernsey would function. 
‘If I did win I would divide the money between two charities as everyone that works there are like my family and friends, it just means so much to me. 
‘I am very shocked but proud of myself to be nominated. I just do it because I care.’
