Jane and Graeme White

Jane and Graeme White are always supportive, says their daughter-in-law who nominated them for Parents of the Year. 
Mr and Mrs White are parents to three sons. With two of them married, and one with a partner, they also have four grandchildren, and two dogs of their own.
‘Children and grandchildren are everything to us. It’s nice to be appreciated.’ 
Both Mr and Mrs White work full-time along with the rest of their family. 
And they took their son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren into their home when unforeseen circumstances forced the family to leave their house, which encouraged Jess White to make the nomination. 
‘Like many other people in Guernsey, we cannot afford the current rental market, and unfortunately the housing waiting list is years long.’ 
‘Without them, we would be homeless.’ 
Mr and Mrs White said it was great having the grandchildren round. 
‘We’re doing what all parents do at the end 
of the day – they’re your kids forever,’ they said.
