Isabelle McCarthy

‘Isabelle always goes above and beyond to deliver the best possible service to the public.
‘Due to the sensitivity of her work, her empathy and knowledge of her job helps all those who need it,’ said her nominator for the Emergency Hero of the Year.
‘Her work will never see the light of day due to public sensitivities but she always puts in the extra care to make sure the public involved are safe and protected moving forward.’
Isabelle McCarthy has been living in Guernsey for the past year and is currently working at the Guernsey Police Station as a response officer.
‘I love living here, there is such a big sense of community and I want to keep it that way,’ she said nominee.
‘I always want to try and give people the best service even if resources are tight.
‘I know there is a stigma around the police but I want to be someone they can relate to and feel safe with.’
