Harry Dewe

Harry Dewe has been nominated for Young Achiever of the Year

About

Harry Dewe has raised over £1,600 for Guernsey Chest and Heart in honour of his grandfather, who died of a heart attack in 2021.
Nine-year-old Harry strives to do positive things in his grandfather’s memory, one of which was taking part in the Sure Guernsey Marathon Mile.
‘His commitment to helping others has inspired family, friends, and the wider community, showing that age is no barrier to making a real difference,’ said Harry’s nominator.
‘What makes Harry’s achievement even more special is the reason behind it. He turned his own loss into something positive by honouring his poppy’s memory while helping others who may be facing similar challenges.
‘His generosity, resilience, and caring nature shine through in everything he has done. Harry is a fantastic role model for other young people.
‘He has shown that one small idea, driven by love and determination, can have a lasting impact on the lives of others.’
Harry is currently planning a charity bingo event at the British Legion to raise further funds.
