Fatima Freitas

Ms Freitas is a member of the housekeeping team on the De Sausmarez Ward and has been working at the hospital for 25 years. 
‘One in a million’, Ms Freitas has been recognised by her nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous, for the warmth and joy she brings to the ward. 
‘She is so kind and helpful if she interacts with patients and is able to brighten your day with just a few words,’ said her 
nominator. 
‘She’ll always say good morning to the patients and is always up for a laugh. It’s the small touches that she adds to each person’s day.’ 
‘I enjoy everything about my job. The patients, their families, the staff, everyone is so friendly,’ said Ms Freitas. 
‘If I can help the patients out then I can leave work knowing I’ve done something good and that makes me feel happy.’ 
‘I’ve never heard a bad word against Fatima. The ward wouldn’t be the same without her,’ said her nominator.
