Don Ogier

Vale Recreation Bowls Club president Don Ogier has been nominated for the award for everything he does within the club. 
‘It’s an achievement to be nominated, so that’s great,’ said Don. 
‘It’s nice that somebody thinks you’re doing something that’s worth being nominated for. 
‘My favourite part is seeing people out there on the green bowling, it’s what motivates me to do what I do. 
‘It’s not just me who does these things though, there is a whole group of us who help around the club.’ 
His nominator said: ‘Don plays a lot of bowls throughout the season and clearly enjoys the sport, but beyond that are all the extra duties he does to ensure it can be enjoyed by many others and ensure bowls at Vale Rec is financially healthy now and will be in the future. 
‘He is always available around the club, willing to assist as he has for me in my first season.’
