Dominic Naermont is a leading member of the anti-GST protests.
‘He has undeniably had an impact on the local community by rallying people who disagree with the GST proposals,’ said his nominator who would like to remain anonymous. 
‘Before these protests he had little political involvement but has proven that with enough research and willingness to stand for what he believes in he can become an honest spokesperson for the community.
‘Dominic recently has been heavily involved in the GST protests and should be celebrated for that, no matter your stance on GST.’ 
‘He’s a force of good for Guernsey,’ said another nominator. ‘He is classed as the balance of political common sense for the public good.’
‘I am trying to give a platform for islanders to voice their opinions as the deputies can be very out of reach, it is very fulfilling to help people that really matter to me in the community,’ said Mr Naermont. 
‘It can be a bit challenging as it does put a bit of a target on your head and I suddenly became public very quickly, when I was used to keeping to myself a bit.’
