Dawn Klement

Dawn Klement is the mother of five children, and even while battling cancer - of which she has been free of since February - has been the cornerstone of her family. 
‘I would love for her to celebrate winning the battle against cancer, but more importantly, she deserves to be celebrated and adored every day for showing up for the last 25 years for me and my brothers in ways I cannot fathom,’ said her daughter and nominator Raven Klement. 
‘She encourages us to enjoy life and be adventurous. She could have chosen to be anything, but she chose to be our mum.’ 
‘Despite her sickness her goal of providing all her children with great memories continued unimpeded. It was a hard time for my young siblings but they’ll never forget the many beach days, an incredible Christmas party and delicious dinners she provided,’ said another nominator and one of her four sons, Jude Klement.
‘I like the busy-ness of it all, from early-morning dog walks, sea swims, picnics on the beach, snuggling to watch movies or going to see my older son perform in a play - there’s always something to look forward too,’ said Mrs Klement. 
‘What I enjoy the most is seeing my children work towards their dreams. From when they were born it was just holding them, reading to them and singing to them the only songs I know, which is Christmas songs year-round.’
