Community Nurses South team

The team provides care in the patient’s own home. This helps reduce pressure on the hospital and other care facilities. The South Nursing team provide a range of assistance such as wound care, insulin, medication, blood and end-of-life care.
‘We feel humbled to be nominated for the Carer of the Year award. It’s a reflection of the trust our patients place in us and a strong partnership across our community,’ said senior staff nurse Kaylee Robins.
The South Team was nominated by Elizabeth Gillson. She has been receiving regular care from the team for the past two years. Mrs Gillson commends the team for always being there and coming to her home to help her when she needs.
‘I am full of praise and admiration for them,’ Mrs Gillson said. ‘I rely on them if I’m not well, they have been so very kind and good to me.
‘They are truly angels, every one of them.’
