Clint Millard has been nominated for Parent of the Year
About
‘I can't explain the feeling I get just from interacting with my baby. You can have a smile directed at you and it just melts your heart,’ said Clinton Millard.
Father to 13-month-old Mabel, Mr Millard is honoured to be nominated for the award. ‘I didn’t expect to be recognised, but I do think I put a lot of work into being a dad,’ he said.
He takes one day off from work a week for ‘daddy-daughter days’ and to support his fiancee, Bea Smith. He said that the house can be hectic, especially when balancing a young baby with their two dogs, Wesley and Laika.
‘He’s been the biggest supporter for me and our baby through my hardest moments,’ said Miss Smith.
‘He has been my champion through my pregnancy and postpartum.
‘Since our daughter arrived, he has been the best daddy I always knew he would be. She is a total daddy’s girl. He comes to parenting classes, runs and jumps around the room just to make her giggle, gets up with her every morning to give her breakfast so I can have a lie in. He is truly the very best dad, and I don’t mean it lightly when I say he deserves this more than anybody I know.’
