Carmaine and Jeff Luxton

Carmaine and Jeff Luxton have been nominated by daughter Ellie Luxton for their unwavering support of the family, and because they always go above and beyond.
Miss Luxton said her parents have been there since day one for her children, Isla and Sonny, offering to help with everything from school pick-ups to everyday childcare. 
‘I want them to be recognised. I try to, but I don’t show them enough,’ she said. 
Upon hearing of their nomination the pair were delighted. Jeff’s first thoughts went to his family, describing the nomination as ‘very kind and thoughtful’. 
Carmaine and Jeff enjoy a range of activities with their grandchildren, including trips to Guernsey’s beaches and parks, as well as visits to a favourite of theirs, the White Rock Cafe. 
When asked what their family means to them, both replied that it meant everything. Miss Luxton explained how her mum puts everyone else before herself, and despite her dad recently having some issues affecting his mobility, he is still there whenever he is needed to take care of the children. 
Looking ahead, they hope to continue spending quality time with their loved ones and passing the family values they instilled in their own children on to the next generation. 
‘They mean the world to me,’ said Carmaine.
