Butterflies Preschool’s ‘Aunties’

THE ‘Aunties’ at Butterflies Preschool have received multiple nominations for the Teacher of the Year award.

About

One nominator, Dana Dowinton put them forward for the award for ‘going above and beyond’. The Aunties have created a loving community for both the children and their families.
Mrs Dowinton has praised the team for their excellence in helping her son throughout his time there. ‘My son has a medical condition and leaving him at preschool terrified me, but the wonderful team gained my trust so quickly and were so attentive to his needs.
‘They have prepared him well for school and I have no hesitation in sending my daughter there next year.’
‘I’m shocked that someone has taken the time to nominate us,' said Butterflies co-owner Sue Le Page.
'We don’t take it lightly.
‘When a child comes to us we ensure that we fully understand them so we can best support them and their families.’
The team take the children on regular outings and adventures during their time at the preschool.
‘Watching the children develop and seeing their personalities grow while preparing them for school is great,’ said Mrs Le Page.
‘The kids go through a huge transition with us.
'Seeing them adapt and change throughout their time here is what I enjoy most about working at the preschool.’
