Billy Le Page has been nominated for Young Achiever of the Year
About
17-YEAR-OLD filmmaker Billy Le Page feels like his hard work is finally paying off in being nominated for the Young Achiever of the Year award.
‘Billy is so dedicated to what he does and has so much passion for it,’ said his nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous. ‘He may only be 17 but the commitment he has for what he is best at is everything.’
Having always had an interest in the performing arts, Billy thought he would try out something new after his GCSEs and decided to pick up filmmaking. After winning the best director under 21 award at the recent One Act Play festival with his play Child’s Fear, based on his grandfather’s memories of the Occupation, Billy realised he had a penchant for writing and directing.
His first film, Dead Air: Part One, was produced by Facade Films and Shows, of which Billy is the CEO.
Facade is currently working on its second film, The Errors Of The Dead, a horror film inspired by Shakespeare’s The Comedy Of Errors, which has been fully cast and is getting ready to film.
‘My favourite part of the filmmaking process is watching it all come together,’ said Billy, who is looking forward to seeing his upcoming film in production.
