Becky Bailey

Founder and head coach of Ace Elite Cheerleading, Becky Bailey, knew she would follow this path from the age of 13, she revealed after being nominated for the award. 
Ms Bailey balances coaching alongside a job, and says that seeing her pupils grow is her most rewarding experience. 
‘I got into coaching because I was a cheerleader myself and wanted to share my passion, experience, and knowledge with the next generation.’ 
Despite challenges and the intense work required to plan sessions, choreograph routines, and organise competitions, Ms Bailey said ‘seeing our athletes thrive makes every hour worthwhile.’ 
‘She is a mentor, role model, and constant source of encouragement for every athlete she works with,’ said her nominator. 
The countless hours she commits to work do not go unnoticed, according to them. 
‘She leads with patience, kindness, and integrity while holding her teams to high standards of excellence.’ 
Becky’s dream is to have a purpose-built cheerleading gym on the island. 
She is especially passionate about ‘continuing to grow cheerleading on the island, and to create even more opportunities for future generations.’
