April-Rose Dewe

Mrs Dewe was put forward by her husband Darren Dewe, who felt his wife deserved recognition for doing an ‘outstanding job on a daily challenge’ for their three children, aged four, two, and nine months. 
The couple have been living in Herm since 2022. During term time, Mrs Dewe travels to and from Guernsey three days a week, taking her daughter to pre-school with her two younger siblings in tow.
‘It’s a challenge and she does it with no help. Come rain or shine she takes it in her stride,’ said Mr Dewe. ‘The kids are always her priority. She’s a fantastic role model to them.’
‘I do it as I know it helps my daughter,’ said Mrs Dewe. ‘It’s lovely to get one-on-one time with the other children too. Watching them develop over the years has been a joy. 
‘We go all around the island. I’ve got a discovery pass which has been great. 
'We spend ages in the exhibits.’
Mr Dewe added: ‘I am so grateful for her. This is a way to show my appreciation for all her hard work.'
