Anthea Yeates

Mrs Yeates has worked at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre for 31 years and has been commended for her enthusiastic and welcoming nature towards her class members. First starting out working at the swim school, she then moved to the centre's Body Zone and now teaches a variety of fitness classes. 
Mrs Yeates was shocked to have been nominated for the award, ‘I didn’t expect it. 
‘Working with such amazing people who come to the classes creates a big family, it’s lovely.’ 
Her nominator, Heidi Chatwin, emphasises Mrs Yeates' enthusiasm and positivity within her classes. ‘She is so amazing and puts everyone at ease. She always goes the extra mile to welcome new class members while varying the workouts and routines regularly. She is just so good at her job. 
‘I wouldn’t attend the class if it wasn’t for her, she always cheers us up and is such a great person.
‘Anthea is certainly a Guernsey legend.
