Angela Vaudin

Mrs Vaudin has been helping people with autism at Autism Guernsey's outreach service for four years and has been recognised for always going the extra mile for those she cares for. 

Mrs Vaudin was honoured to have been nominated for the award. ‘I love my job. It’s so great to see the young adults achieve many things they may think they couldn’t.’ 
Every day is different for Mrs Vaudin, from sandcastle making and swimming to simply going on the bus with those she cares for. ‘Seeing them go home with a smile on their face makes their parents so happy and that makes me happy,’ said Mrs Vaudin. 
An anonymous nominator has praised Mrs Vaudin for her generosity and ‘always thinking of others and putting them before herself’. 
‘She remembers things you just say in passing that people wouldn’t usually remember whilst taking time to fully understand people and make deeper relationships. 
‘Angela is not only someone that has massively helped me achieve my goals, but she treats me like her family.’
