The cleaners at the company provide high quality cleaning across business, industry and community sectors.
The nomination was specifically for the team that works cleaning the public toilets around the island.
‘We’re very proud and pleased to get recognition of a team that carries out an undesirable task,’ said Vincent Smith on behalf of AFM.
‘It’s very difficult to keep them clean so it’s nice to get positive feedback.’
Mr Smith added that the States Property Unit deserved recognition for their help.
The nominator, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that they often go to the Northside Bridge public toilets and always find them fresh and clean making it a nice experience.
‘I think that the island underestimates the importance of public toilets. Older people wouldn’t go out if they couldn’t use facilities,’ they said, ‘It’s an asset that we’re lucky to have.’
